"The 2009 Chateauneuf du Pape Tradition is a blend of 60% Grenache, 20% Mourvedre and the rest Syrah and Muscardin aged in tank and small oak. This estate believes in small oak barrels even though their style is clearly not atypical or modern. The extremely successful 2009 Tradition is performing better out of bottle than it did last year. Notes of damp earth, truffles, graphite, black currants, kirsch and roasted herbs are found in this dense, chocolaty, deep, full-bodied, generously endowed wine. It is ideal for drinking over the next 10-15 years. 91/100
