Red Edge is a relative newcomer, now represented in the UK by Dion Gunson. Peter Dredge (a winemaker) and his wine bought their own block of vines in 1994 – planted originally in 1971, which for this region is about as old as it gets. Yields are low, at around 15 hl/ha, and fermentation is with indigenous yeasts. The wines are aged in a mix of old and new French oak.
